John Schneyder

From 1953 to 1954 Metropolitan John studied at the Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, N.Y. From 1954 to 1955 he studied under Fr. Adrian Rimarenke, Spiritual Director of the Spring Valley Russian Synod convent, Novo Diveyevo, Rockland County, N.Y. Metropolitan John studied Dogmatic Theology from 1955 to 1957 with the Very Rev. Damian Krehel, professor of Moral Theology at St. Tikhon’s Seminary.In November of 1961, Metropolitan John was ordained a Deacon by Archbishop James in the Chapel of the Holy Apostles in Manhattan, N.Y. In July of 1962, he was Ordained a Priest by Archbishop James in the same Chapel.April 25th, 1970, Archbishop James Ordained Presbyter John Schneyder to the Holy Episcopacy.

Archbishop James was the Bishop of Manhattan in the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. He advocated an American Mission. In 1956 The Holy Orthodox Catholic Apostolic American Church was incorporated.

Archbishop John Schneyder was consecrated by Archbishop James Toombs, Bishop Nathanael (Paprock), and Bishop Francis (Szetkowski) on April 15th 1970 at the Chapel of the Mother of God, 400 West 57th St.  New York City.

Bishop James Johnson was consecrated By Archbishop John Schneyder and Bishop Nathanael Paprock on Sunday, July 26 1994 at the Cathedral Chapel of the Mother of God 33-11 89th Street,   Jackson Heights NYC.

On Sunday, February 2, 2003, the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple, Bishop Anthony was consecrated by Metropolitan Nicholas, Archbishop John Schneyder, and Bishop James Johnson.
