Єпархія створена в 1995 році під юрисдикцію Української Православної Церкви – Київського патріархату

Oстрів Святий Юлій Єпархія, було створено на базі Київського патріархату в 1 грудня 1995 року, і Владика Volodymir був першим єпископом освятити в Західній Європі під омофором Святішого Патріарха Філарета.

“Upon his consecration in December 19th 1995, Bishop Vladimir became the bishop of St. Julius Island within the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Patriarchate of Kiev under the Jurisdiction and the Omophorion of His Holiness Patriarch Filaret.

The Diocese of St. Julius Island was established from the Patriarchate of Kiev in December 1st –  1995 and Vladyka Volodymir was the first Bishop consecrate in Western Europe under the Omophor of His Holiness Patriarch Filaret.
